Solar Garden Path Lights

I am not an electrician so I didn’t want something that had complicated electrical wiring. I needed a long-lasting product that provided bright illumination along the length of the walkway and was easy to install.
Lighting that is powered by energy from the sun completely fulfilled this requirement. Sunlight would charge them up during the day and they would switch on as it became dark. There is an added benefit that they will be energy efficient and cheap to run.
The choice of lighting units is either an array of lamps, inserted into the ground alongside the pathway, or strategically placed spotlights with strong beams. They all have a sun-ray power collection panel and LED bulbs.
Those that are pushed into the earth come in a variety of styles and range from simple upright lightsticks to ornate hanging lanterns. There are also versions that can be installed flush with the terrain. The materials used do vary and include plastic and more durable metals, such as copper or stainless steel.
With spotlights, there are essentially two choices; either a version that can be pressed into the ground or one that is affixed to a permanent structure, such as the house or a shed. A feature with the mounted lights is that they are usually fitted with a motion sensor, so that the light comes on only when movement is detected and is not constantly lit.
I have set out below a selection of the items that I considered for this project. Click on the links to see if you can find your ideal garden pathway lighting.
