Best Single Flower Vase
I wanted a floral focal point on my home desk and set out to find the best single flower vase.
In times of feeling stressed I needed something to help me relax into a meditative state. A solitary bloom can be a joy to the senses. In its isolation you get a full sense of the color, the shape, the texture and, if it is a scented variety, the smell. A full appreciation of these individual qualities can be lost when it is part of a fuller display.
The container must complement its contents and display the subject to best advantage. I wanted something that was delicate and would not be overpowering.
As with anything artistic there are many variations catering for a wide variety of tastes. I have chosen the following list as my representation of this diversity.
It stands 7.25 inches tall on a 2 inch square base.
The design is tree branches on a grey background. It has been fully glazed so it will not leak.
It is a graceful elongated elliptical shape and the cutting reflects the light spectacularly. The base is heavy which makes it very stable.
This vase is fashioned in the nature of stacked rocks. There are three separate glass chambers that can be individually filled with water.
You can mix and match the display by using one or all three of the compartments.
